Top Rated Residential Drug Rehab Program in Pasadena California
The Detox Center of Los Angeles is the top-rated center for residential treatment of alcohol and drug addiction because we provide comprehensive and personalized care to each of our patients. Our team is made up of highly skilled, experienced and credentialed medical professionals, therapists, and other treatment providers, and we provide all addiction treatment inside our safe and comfortable treatment center on an inpatient basis. Our team is non-judgmental, and caring, and they truly want to help you as you stay with us inside our safe, 100% sober rehab and detox center, working to change old habits and to gain recovery skills and relapse tools that will help you remain in long-term recovery.
What Is Inpatient Rehab?
Inpatient rehab is what you may think of when you hear that somebody has “gone to rehab”. You will move into our treatment center full-time, staying inside the center 24 hours a day for alcohol detox or drug detox and beyond into a customized program with in-house recovery programming, including medical care, therapy, educational programs and more provided to you as you recover from drugs and alcohol.
At The Detox Center of LA, we have a strong connection to local substance abuse outpatient programs as well, with levels of care like intensive outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization programs, SMART recovery groups, 12-step programs (Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, etc.) or sober living homes for transitional living. If you wish to transition from our inpatient facility into outpatient treatment after you have completed your program, our team can connect you with an appropriate facility in your area.
What Is Inpatient Drug Rehab Like?
When you come to our facility for drug and alcohol treatment, you will first have a biopsychosocial assessment that will help us analyze your unique needs and help us to build the right program for you. You will move into a comfortable room inside a 6-bed apartment with in-unit laundry facilities, housekeeping services, meals cooked by a private chef and snacks available at all times. There are fitness and yoga classes, movie nights, and access to an outside lounge area with a cornhole game and a basketball court. Phone access is allowed at designated times.
Your days will be filled with drug dependence and alcoholism treatment, appointments, dual diagnosis treatment, therapy, and groups, provided within a structured environment that is run by knowledgeable and caring staff, and nursing staff will be around full-time to ensure you feel well throughout detox and rehab, with a board-certified medical doctor determining your plan and attending to any medical issues that may arise.
What To Expect During Residential Rehab
Each person’s substance abuse treatment plan is unique to their individual needs, but your rehab program may include:
- A medical detox treatment plan and/or medication-assisted treatment programs to help you safely and comfortably detoxify your system with the integration of prescription medications, medical care, therapy, and holistic treatments
- Individual therapy in which you meet with a primary therapist at least twice a week
- Holistic treatments and programs like art therapy, healing through creativity groups, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, breathwork, experiential therapy, exercise, and physical fitness
- 40 to 47 hours a week of group therapy, discussing topics like seeking safety, health and wellness, interpersonal relationships, life skills, emotional self-regulation, daily goals, distress tolerance, denial management and anger management
- Psychoeducation
- Family sessions (if appropriate) including family therapy
- Interpersonal psychotherapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy
- Dual diagnosis programs for people who have a co-occurring disorder like PTSD or mental illness
- Case management services in which you meet with a case manager to figure out any practical issues you may have (for example getting time off work for rehab) and to build an aftercare program that works for you
How Long Does Inpatient Rehab in Los Angeles Last?
The amount of time you stay in our drug and alcohol rehab center depends on your individual needs, your goals, your budget, and your overall comfort level. A person who has been using heavy drugs and alcohol for a long time, or a person with a serious mental illness alongside their addiction may need to stay in inpatient rehab longer than someone with a milder addiction. After your initial assessment, we will be able to give you a more thorough recommendation.
30 Day Rehab
30 days of substance misuse treatment is considered short-term rehab and is often recommended for those with a less-severe addiction. In one month’s time, you will have the chance to reframe your thinking, gain new healthy habits, and remove yourself from the temptations of drugs and alcohol as you readjust to a sober lifestyle.
60 Day Rehab
A longer stay in inpatient rehab is often useful for people with medical issues or a dual diagnosis mental health treatment plan, as it will not only give you extra time to recover and rest, but it will also give any new psychiatric medications time to kick in, under full medical supervision inside the drug rehab center. A longer stay inside our rehab facility will aid in long-term relapse prevention.
90 Day Rehab
90 days of rehab, or long-term drug and alcohol treatment, is recommended for people who have already relapsed or who are resistant to treatment. This length of time will allow you to try out all the types of therapy we offer, spend time with like-minded peers in several forms of group therapy, and live inside a completely sober, supportive, and helpful treatment facility, cementing new healthy routines and habits into your daily life.
Executive Drug Rehab in Los Angeles
Being a person in a fast-paced career with heavy expectations on your shoulders may make you feel like you cannot leave your job to get substance abuse counseling and treatment, or you may worry that others will find out about your addiction, causing damage to your company’s reputation. For this reason, at The Detox Center of LA, we guarantee security and privacy in all aspects of treatment. Our caseworkers will help you create a detox and rehab plan that will work for your unique needs, and if you require an outpatient program so you can continue to go to work, we can connect you with the appropriate levels of care in your area after detox and/or inpatient rehab. Your health is important and getting the treatment you need will only make you a better asset to the company in the long run.
Breathwork Therapy
Breathwork therapy is useful in the treatment for alcohol addiction and drug addiction, as it is a breathing exercise that can be done at any time and any place. All you do is change the breathing pattern in an intentional way. This exercise is used to improve mental clarity and physical and spiritual wellness. Depending on the type of breathing you do, you may feel more energized afterward or more relaxed. This is an excellent stress reduction technique.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavior therapy works for substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders like depression, trauma, or anxiety, teaching patients new ways to deal with stress, unhelpful thoughts, and destructive behaviors through practical tools, modifying thought patterns, and managing personal choices. The belief is that thoughts and behaviors influence the way we feel, so retraining the brain to default to more positive actions can influence overall wellness and help avoid negative behaviors like substance abuse.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical behavior therapy teaches emotional regulation, stress management, mindfulness and distress tolerance techniques to help the patient work through difficult emotions and situations without returning to substance abuse. The emphasis in DBT is on the psychosocial aspects of addiction, helping the patient understand the social and psychological “why” behind their substance use issues and helping them change self-destructive behaviors into healthy alternatives.
Family Systems Therapy
A person’s family system has a huge influence on their overall psychology, behaviors, and issues, and a person is inseparable from their family relationships, whether they are positive or negative. Family systems therapy addresses a patient’s inner psyche, helping them to work on changing their relationships to family members and generate change in other aspects of their life. This mode of therapy, when used in drug and other rehab programs like Pasadena benzo rehab, helps patients understand where their underlying issues are coming from and rebuild relationships with loved ones in a healthier way through intergenerational family therapy, strategic family therapy, and structural family therapy modalities.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma-informed therapy is an important aspect in alcohol and Pasadena meth rehab, as it takes into account that each person in treatment has likely been through difficult or traumatic incidents throughout their life. Many people in rehab have experienced violence, assault, traumatic encounters with the law or authority figures, bad experiences in the healthcare system, or loss of relationships with loved ones. Some people may have witnessed an overdose or have experienced medical trauma themselves. With this in mind, at The Detox Center of LA, every member of our team is committed to avoiding re-traumatization by ensuring our patients feel safe at all times. This may include:
- Asking for consent before administering treatment or giving medication
- Answering questions thoroughly in a way you can understand, and not make you feel stupid for asking a question
- Using open and transparent decision-making and keeping you informed on your progress
- Building a trusting relationship so you can relax into your treatment plan without worry
