The holidays can be a hard time for many, and Catelynn Lowell, star of Teen Mom 2, who has sought treatment for depression and anxiety in rehab, is currently back in treatment, getting help after writing about having suicidal thoughts.
Lowell posted a tweet on November 17 about feeling suicidal and how she’s seeking help. One of the hashtags on her tweet is #makeChesterProud, a reference to Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who took his life earlier this year. Another hashtag in her tweet was #thiswontlast.
After dropping her off, husband Tyler Baltierra wrote, “We haven’t held each other & just cried like that for a long time. Even after 12 years, I continue to be AMAZED by her strength, vulnerability, & courage to get help. ‘As long as I am alive, you will never be alone.’”
Baltierra would also later write, “Incredibly proud of my wife…when she thought she had no choices left, she reached out & decided to LIVE today!”In a statement to US Magazine, Lowell added, “I’m taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself. I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better…”
Last year another reality TV star also sought help in depression rehab, Renee Graziano from Mob Housewives. Her sister would tell Radar that her rehab stay was “not necessarily drug or alcohol related…It’s a personal thing. But basically she is getting treated for depression and she’s trying to work it out. She’s been battling depression for a while and this kind of treatment kind of digs a little deeper than what she’s done in the past.”
